Ponale, Cima Larici and Lago di Ledro
The most famous road of Alto Garda is, whitout any doubt, the Ponale path.
Once used as the only trafic way from Lake Garda and Ledro valley, this unique sequence of tunnels and switchbacks, carved into the rock on the vertical side of the mountain, is nowadays a pedstrian-cycle path from where to enjoy unique and breathtaking views,
Our tour along the Ponale doesn't stop at the end of the road itself, but has a higher destination: Punta Larici.
Located at 900m height, vertically above the waters of Lake Garda, Punta Larici is a place that will steal your heart. In the clearest days, the view reaches Sirmione, 50km south, but the perspective of Torbole and Riva on the north side, Malcesine and Monte Baldo on the east and Limone down at the shore on the west make the whole picture as if we reached the top of the World.
