On the occasion of the return of the sculpture Madonna con Bambino - attributed to the school of the famous Renaissance artist Donatello - the first exhibition spread across the institutional sites of the Municipality of Malcesine. The 15th-century polychrome stucco sculpture, housed in the prestigious Palazzo dei Capitani, represents an important historical-artistic testimony for the town of Malcesine.
Attributed to a prototype from Donatello's Paduan period, this work is part of a tradition that has inspired masterpieces now housed in museums such as the Louvre. Its presence in Malcesine offers the community a unique opportunity to preserve a fragment of this great heritage, rediscovering a symbol of its artistic and cultural heritage.
